Strange Days Indeed

I could begin by stating that I have been less than diligent in blogging. I could. Wait... I just did.
On that note. Many things happened in the remainder of 2007 and into the new year! But I'm not going to blog them - much... (for the most part this should be an even better read if you do so with the tempo of a "modern Major_general" from Pirates of Penzance)

The kids with gramma and poppa were mollified

Al and Vic got a little pie-eyed

Later they did pay

Tragic for the rug

Old fogies should not chug a lug

Disney beckoned with great glee
Dan was still a little wee
Olivia was princess Belle
Her ego did a little swell
Santa came with great force
The kids were spoiled - of course
Alan can play music around the house
Bad colds made all of us grouse
New Year's withkids was fun, but tiring
Leaving Vic puke-covered and perspiring
Olivia enjoys the school bus
Dan is making a nighttime fuss
thanks to our family and friends
for the support that never ends.

Well.
Onto other happenings. Apparently the windstorm unleashed some unexpected guests on Waterloo: http://news.therecord.com/article/292755 . How hilarious is that? Yeehaw!

I am excited for 2008 - I look forward to a year of more stories and fun with the kids, as Olivia learns to read and Dan becomes more verbal. I'm looking forward to getting our schedules back to normal post-Christmas. I know i say it every year, but this time i think there has to be changes. I'm not sure I can handle it again in 2008. Two to three obligations with my family, four to five obligations with Al's; plus our desire to wake up in our own home on Christmas morning was too much for the Berry patch - g-side. Hopefully opportunities to streamline can be found next year... We'll see. Or, knowing me, I will get excited with all the opportunities to see family and friends again and will jump into it all with both feet. :) It's been known to happen...
